The railway's popular diesel gala returns for 2008!

Get a drivers eye view with a £5 cab ride.

Heritage diesels are to be the stars of the show during this two day event!

The heritage diesels based on the railway once ran over the  whole of Scotland; from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Aberdeen - and even as far north as Wick.

To help visitors experience what it was like to travel during these times, we're bringing the 1970's back to the Caledonian Railway for one special weekend in May.

Ride in the heritage carriages or "cab it*" with the driver. This event is great for anyone who remembers or has an interest in rail travel in years gone by.

For timetable and more details - see the factsheet.

*Cab ride ticket £5. Numbers are limited and on a first come, first served basis. The cab ride ticket is only valid in conjunction with a valid travel ticket from the ticket office. £5 is for a one way journey of the four mile line. We reserve the right to refuse cab passengers without reason.
