Where does the train go?

 

Thomas’ train runs between Brechin to Bridge of Dun, a small hamlet on the edge of Montrose Basin.

 

How long does the journey take?

 

A round trip lasts approximately one hour, including ten minutes at Bridge of Dun.

 

Where does most activity take place?

 

The focus of the event is Brechin station. Thomas pulls the trains, but Percy, Diesel, the troublesome trucks, The Diesel and Sir Topham Hatt will be at Brechin. A bouncy castle, a miniature railway, face painting, a barbeque, Mr Tubbs and George the steamroller at Brechin.

 

What is there to do at Bridge of Dun?

 

There will be a children’s playpark, bouncy castle and rides on the classic bus.

 

Can I break my journey at Bridge of Dun?

 

Yes, you can but only if you make an advanced booking. Tickets on the day will be for one round trip either from Brechin or Bridge of Dun. If you break your journey the seats allocated to you may not be available on the return journey.  Seats, may however, still be available. 

 

Are there any other costs involved once I buy my ticket?

 

Once you have bought your travel ticket, most additional attractions on our site are free. This includes access to all the other engines and traction engine, the miniature railway, the children’s playpark, the bouncy castle at Bridge of Dun and rides on Classic Bus and entertainment form Mr Tubbs at Brechin. An additional charge is incurred for the bouncy castle at Brechin, children’s fairground rides and face painting.
