Murder on the brechin express
***2006 dates are July 29th, August 5th and August 19th***

"Railway termini are our gates to the glorious and the unknown.
Through them we pass out into adventure and sunshine, to them, alas! we return."

Edward M. Forster 1879-1970

Following our highly successful sell-out series of murder mystery evenings in 2003, 2004 and 2005, the Caledonian Railway and Blitz Entertainment (Scotland’s premier murder mystery event organisers) are pleased to announce that the popular "Murder on the Brechin Express" will return this Year with a range of popular dates..

You will arrive at the historic Brechin railway station for 7.00pm, where a team of professional actors will inform the group of the ‘murder’ that has taken place on board the Bridge of Dun-bound express train. You will board the train (complete with its own licensed bar) and as it steams down the line, clues will be uncovered and you will be invited to use these to piece together the murder!

At Bridge of Dun, a full buffet will be served at the station and further clues given. The train then heads back to Brechin where your notes are gathered before you are directed to the Gardner Memorial Hall (a grade "A" listed building), opposite our station. Here the murderer will be revealed and presentations made. Should you wish to take a nightcap after the performance, we recommend you visit the Caledonian Hotel (next door to the Memorial Hall) which will remain open until 1am.

We recommend you dress warmly as the evening contains a few elements which are staged outdoors.
