Hillside village viewed from the end of the remaining embankment, August 2003. The viaduct across the main road and associated embankment towards Kinnaber Junction has gone, but some points of reference remain such as the cottages on the left and maltings tower in the distance. The maltings are still rail-connected to the existing Montrose-Aberdeen line. |
