Wedding charter at Brechin

The facilities of the Caledonian Railway are available for charter by companies and private groups. Special trains can be commissioned, hauled by diesel or steam (when available) locomotives. In the context of such charters, footplate experience can be arranged for interested individuals.

Hiring a train could be an extremely novel way to celebrate a special occasion. Or how about corporate entertainment with a difference? 'Team building' exercises based around the operating of our four-mile railway can easily be arranged, with you, your clients or friends operating the trains under supervision. We can cater for groups of 2 to 2000 - please contact us for further information.

How about using our steam train as part of your wedding, as shown in the photo above? This couple were married in the picturesque Gardner Memorial church, opposite the station, and held their reception at the House of Dun. The obvious way to ferry their guests between the venues was on their own personal steam train!

You can also charter your own personal carriage on a normal operating day (seating up to 64) for any occasion - e.g birthday parties.
