Left: George Watson's JCB scours the trackbed ready to receive new sleepers and ballast. The spoil is loaded into the side-tipping mermaid wagon, which is then taken up the line behind our 48hp Ruston diesel and tipped down a bankside. |
|
Right: Once the trackbed is cleared, new 60ft track panels are made up at Bridge of Dun and brought to Magladen chapel on a flat wagon. They can they be craned into position with our 12 ton rail crane. We believe this is the largest rail crane in Scotland! |
