Day out with Thomas success:
Final figures show that our first ever Day out with Thomas event attracted about
6000 passengers. These unprecedented numbers brought a magnificent boost to
railway coffers!
Class 37 arrives: Class 37 37097 arrived on Sunday for restoration by the
Caledonian Railway diesel group. It was based in Scotland in the '80s and worked
many trains on the Tay coast line so has true local connections. It will be
probably restored to 1980s "large logo" BR livery although it never carried this
livery in service.
The 3.15 from Brechin: July 26th sees the first of another new series of
special events, "Murder on the Brechin Express". These murder mystery evenings
are run in conjunction with Blitz Entertainment, Scotland's premier murder
